There's been a lot going on at the house lately, which has created the need for me to update some of the furniture inventory. As it happened, Ali thought she's step in and offer up a piece her grandma had just replaced at her house. Lucky me (:

Ali and I trekked over to her grandma's place in Missouri, where we met up with her friend Scott [not to be confused with her boyfriend Scott], who had a trailor in tow and had volunteered to tote a sectional back to my house.

As payment, I fed them. I'm happy we all share the same great affinity for food. Haha. 

Thanks again, Ali!! I'm super comfy, now. Couch party?

Hahaha. This is a kid I've known for way too long. It's crazy to think that we've stayed friends through high school [that should've done it alone, haha]. Then of course there's the fact that one of us lives in the midwest and other lives in Cali. I'm happy to say we've still got the friendship, and hope, across the miles, that he has an amazing birthday!!

A friend of mine recently got me addicted to this. I'm not usually one to hunker down on TV shows [we have a love-hate relationship], but I'm adding this one to the short list already containing The Voice, The Big Bang Theory, and The Big C. 

Oh, and before you ask, NO, I'm not obsessed with the zombie apocalypse; this is just an addictive show and that's where it stops for me. I promise. No bath salts here. (:

GSP.

UFC 154 was tonight. I'm sticking to my guns for almost the ninth year in a row now that GSP is still one of the most talented contenders in the UFC. My excitement for MMA & dedicated following of UFC activity has definitely dwindled over the past couple of years, thanks to all of the meatheads and juvenile delinquents who think their Affliction shirts are super-hero capes. < That's another rant for another day.

Anyway, CONGRATS to GSP for another victory. He's still my favorite little Canadian. Haha.

I think he should reserve the right to continue wearing Affliction. Eh? Eh.

Yup, that's about it. There was some packing and other menial detail that went into today, but I'm not in a substance mood right now. Plus I've got somewhere to be. (:

^^ Ali has been inviting me to see this for days now, but I made a personal promise to myself that I would never get into it. I don't know what it is about fictional movie franchises; I suppose I just never thought to try them out to see if I'd actually like them or not. Whatever the case may be, you'll all have to excuse me for not having ever ["never have I ever...."] seen any of the Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Star Trek, Twilight, or whatever else is out there that's classified under that umbrella. Just never my thing.

I said all that to say that I so appreciate seeing this on my facebook last night.
She's hilarious.
Still no, though.
Maybe one day. I'll stand corrected in front of everyone. Haha. :)

Are YOU a Twihard? [I heard that term about 28 times yesterday, referring of course to die-hard Twilight fans = Twihards] I'm not, but I dig the dedication of the true Twihards!

I needed a good laugh today. Glad I could get it at the expense of someone who thought it appropriate to exercise senioritis on a job interview. *sigh.

Oh a good note, I have to say that my job does carry some sweet perks. Today, specifically, one of my associates brought me some color for my desk, in an edible form. Thoughtful, right? You'd be surprised at how often, in the grand scheme of things, this happens to us here. It's an absolute reminder that our efforts [even on the most droning days] are appreciated. (: Thanks, Ronnie - the candy dish at my desk is now completely full!

November's an amazing month, for a few different reasons.. one of those being BIRTHDAYS!

In no order.... I definitely want to mention today being the birthday of two ladies I love love love....

Chelsea! I grew up with her; when I say grew up, I don't mean that loose term that so many people use when they want you to believe they've known someone forever... I mean I really did grow up with her. Well, technically, she grew up with me, since I'm just a little older ;) Haha. Want proof?
