The Merriest of Merriment: Christmas Day 2014!

Friends & Family: I hope today was a beautiful experience for each and every single one of you! In our house, the celebrating started bright and early, once Sydni realized Santa had delivered on his annual promises to visit and bring goodies. Lila was perched in her rightful spot, embracing the Christmas ornament Sydni made, ready to oversee the decimation of wrapping paper.

We wasted no time:

someone was a very good girl this year! 

Santa brought a pile of dolls, travel toys, markers, coloring books... and this: 

for my little artist! 

Rob and I assured her that Santa would be stopping at Nana and Pappy's this weekend, and that our Christmas presents would come then; today was all about Sydni!

Well, except for just a couple things...

^ The fur kids were definitely not forgotten, and would soon be chewing away to their hearts' content. Santa is quite the puppy lover, too!

Since we spent the majority of the day unashamedly jamming away in our PJ's, there was little photo action, so I thought I would share a glimpse of us from around this time last year when we held our post-Christmas celebration at my parents':

This year, I couldn't have hand-picked a better way to spend the day if I had the choice to do so. My little family is the greatest gift I could have under this roof, and celebrating our perfect saviour with the people I love the most is what I would trade for any thing the world could offer.

Throwback Thursday Pt 2: Nalom Art!

I still admire how much those portraits really do resemble their models... if not exactly, then pretty daggone close. Haha. Well, except for mine, but then again I don't seem to think anything looks like me even if it's a photograph. Go fig. Haha.

Art Post || Fideli Sundqvist

The word, art, is such a broad term. There are countless ways in which people adopt that word, and for the most part, it can start to run together for a lot of people after a while.

While I certainly do appreciate the scope of human artistic ability, every once in a while there comes that one artist that just amazes me.

BOB ROSS!!

Come on now... who doesn't remember this guy?? Personally, I remember sitting at home on a Saturday morning with an afghan and a bowl of fruit, nestled on the couch between two oversized housecats... watching Bob Ross paint happy little trees behind nice little rocks .. and all the other beauty that just is a Bob Ross painting.

Well happy stinkin' birthday, BOB ROSS!

I'm off to go YouTube some more videos of that trademark tss tss tss tssss sound that only a Bob Ross paintbrush can really make. Haha
