Friday FUN :)

I spent some money today.... but I think it's justified, right?

it's... warm! 

I've needed a new coat for a while now, and it didn't hurt that they were all on sale. Because, let's face it.. Full-priced retail & I have never really been friends. ;)

Oh, and I picked up one of these as an early bday treat for Elisa:

Rob and I took advantage of it being Friday night, and went to see this:

At least that's how it feels. My fingers felt like they were ready to fall off around 6pm, when I finally peeled myself away after about five straight hours of work. I'm not complaining, no, but to say I felt a little cross-eyed was accurate. Christmas presents are well underway, and we're not even to December yet ;).

We rendezvoused earlier with Rob's boss & a few of his co-workers for dinner, and he dropped me at home to nurse this headache I developed somewhere in the afternoon... I'm sure I'll be zonked by the time he's back.

I suppose I'll be curling back up on the couch for some Big Bang Theory and... you guessed it...

Pictures at a Chilly Park

Happy Sunday!

It's been a little while since we went to the park down the street from us. I'm not sure what possessed us to opt on a trip today, but in the spirit of doing random things, it seemed fitting that we would take a quick trip out.

We took the camera, too, since the last time it had any serious exercise was over a month ago. It was a short little trip, but well worth it to see her play, and to get some fun edits out of it all.

I haven't gotten deep into doing any edits in a few weeks either; I just finished up with some from this batch and was reminded I should do it more often. It's pretty therapeutic. We did dinner with Rob earlier at BW3 and now it's time to wind down and call it a night.

I predict that crazy thing called Monday is gonna come around again first thing in the morning.... I can already guess we're gonna get in a fight before noon so I suppose I'll get some rest just in case ;)

The Amish Like BDubbs, TOO.

The small hometown in which I grew up now has a BDubbs. I am still in awe over the spectacle of another national chain planting roots in the seemingly podunk dot on the map that I still and forever will call home.

Oh, and in case you are among the masses unfamiliar with Mount Vernon [OHIO], it borders a very large, very present Amish community, which I love.

Well...

I love chicken, and I love the Amish...

so........ this speaks to a perfect blend of my childhood and the present day ;)

P.S. - Yeah, only in Knox County. I know, I know.......

VOLLEYBALL! [SportsMonsterMode]

Today was absolutely beautiful!

I spent the church service downstairs in the nursery; I would've typically preferred to be in the audience to our pastor's lessons, but conveniently enough I found myself scheduled into the nursery rotation this week. It was my pleasure hanging out in the infant room with little Evan.

Once church was out, Sydni and I took to our own to get a few things done before I dropped her off at Dawne's for a little slumber party sleepover. I made my way over to Clayton for some sand volleyball that ran right into a trip to BW3 before we all headed home. Thanks, SM St.Louis!
