Photogs Galore!

It's a good day for some photography!

I did a major cleanse of the memory cards for the D90 yesterday, charged up all the batteries, wiped down lenses and screens, and tested the flashes yesterday in preparation for a long day of shooting and editing.

Stop #1: Gobles!

This is a family I met at Towerview; they're a part of our small group and I'm glad to call them friends beyond that, too. Plus, their kids are adorable, and it was a blast shooting them in the comfort of their own home & backyard.

Stop #2: Christine!

From Shiloh down to Waterloo to see Christine, Ava & Thomas. I used to work with Christine, and I was just itching at a chance to shoot her and her daughter. We added in Thomas to the mix and walked away with some awesome shots.

Little GIRLS Run the World!

.... well, they did today at least.

We were graced with a visitor today - well, two really. Christine stopped by the office on her way to run a few other errands, and she brought little miss Ava with her. That kid is as cute as they come, and she made with it taking over my job for a few minutes. I think she did rather well, and even got a quick interview with me before she did all her documentation, i.e. drawing little face pictures all over my post its. Too cute. I'm pretty excited to get down to Waterloo and take their pictures. :) Soon!!

meet our newest staffing consultant.. haha.. little ava!
she took over my desk.. notice the candy dish has been strategically
relocated ... by her mama. haha.. see if you can spot it.
card for nancy ♥
Halfway through the day, I was told that I get the day off tomorrow. It was kind of surprising, seeing that tomorrow is Nancy's last day. I almost didn't want to take it [don't worry, I'm not that crazy], but I did because it's a Friday and without working it, I'll have a nice four-day weekend. The downside is that I won't be there for Nancy's last day, and she'll be there running solo with the new girl for her last day. :( The upside we decided was that her new job will still be close by, so we'll be making lunch plans very soon. I'm gonna miss her.... crazy to think she won't be there on Tuesday when the office reopens. I gave her the card today that I found at Target and decided was absolutely perfect for her, for the office, and for all that our jobs have stood for so far. Haha. Ugh. I miss her already! :(

By the time the work day was over, I was gearing up for the evening with more little munchkins. I'd talked to Amy earlier in the week and offered a night of fun for Tessa here with Sydni and a break for Amy & Kyle. Originally, it was going to be just for a few hours since I'd thought I had to be back up and out the door for work in the morning. Instead, I've got two little girls running circles around the living room in their pj's, pretending to be flying mermaids on a school bus. I love it. I know how nice it is every so often to have just one night sans kiddo; I'm so glad we could do that for the Sandvens tonight! We're having a blast tonight.. lol.

tessa & syd - little buddies!
My parents are flying in tomorrow; Syd and I will go pick them up and get the last minute details nailed down for the big party on Saturday :). Exciting :)

Let the weekend begin!

Mr. & Mrs. Epperson!

Have I ever told you I love weddings? Well, I do. It's not a secret. Today was one of the many we'll attend this year. It was a blast!

I took off out of work early to head home and get ready; with as many weddings as I've attended, only one other time have I been to one scheduled for a Friday afternoon. I know there are absolute perks to claiming a Friday, so more power to the Eppersons for taking that road.

Oh, and I finally decided to go with the plum-toned Essie polish, for those of you just dying over my final verdict [what? that's none of you? lol.. shocking ;)]. I've gotta hand it to Mr. Dills for doing such a fine job suiting up to complete a matching pair.

We ran into the Lopez clan as soon as we got to the church - complete with little 2-month-old Ava [so daggone cute!!]. Stephanie looks fabulous for being two months out from childbirth, and Ryan as always was his ragged, hilarious self.

The ceremony itself commenced promptly at 3pm, and was completed by 3:30. It took us about 20 minutes to decide on Applebee's as our temporary home for the next two and a half hours until the reception began at 6pm. It's been a long time since I had that much fun with a group of folks dressed up for a wedding at an Applebee's on Friday afternoon... oh wait. Haha. Good times; YOLO, right?

a wowing candid of mr. & mrs. epperson!
[[even crying, she looks amazing!!!]]
*Thank you for allowing us to share in this special day with you. We're so excited and wish you the absolute world as you start this next step of your lives... together! ♥

Congratulations to the wonderful couple!
