Brittany's Birthday Bonanza

First,
ALLEGIANT [the book] SPOILER ALERT:

TRIS PRIOR DIED TODAY [during my reading time].
[... fictional character in a fictional book. don't panic]

I'm not a happy camper.

I couldn't even read past the end of that particular chapter today while I was lounging on the couch absorbing more of the book. I just.... WHY!?! I haven't finished the whole thing yet, but I have a feeling my warm fuzzies aren't going to be restored.

It was probably a good thing that I couldn't complete all my reading; I conquered the way-overdue task of top-to-bottom cleaning parts of my house, ran some pesky but important errands and had some time to relax before the meat of the day was underway.

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY BASH, BRITTANY!!!

Before I knew it, the daylight started to fade out and I was out the door en route to Kalyn's. I met up with her and Keifer, and the three of us gated over to PF Chang's for Brittany's birthday dinner.

... and it was just that. A great crowd, good food and hilarious people. I think everyone, all along our last supperish looking arrangement, was having a blast.

After dinner, it was off down 50 to Tostado's for some karaoke. We definitely had some fun but agreed that perhaps next time we'd find somewhere a little less crowded, with a few more decent singers. ;)

too much fun, they are!

........Then again, there was us, belting it out like we didn't care, so I suppose I take that back. Everyone deserves a good karaoke session. Maybe we'll just find somewhere next time without a 2-hour wait to do it.. hehe.

Witness the magic for yourself!

*Sigh. I have amazing friends.

That was a wrap on the night, and after dropping everyone off at their final destinations, we headed back to K&K's so I could snag my car and come home.

Happy birthday, Brittany! (:
