Towerview Baptist Church

This morning we loaded up for the long .85 mile haul to church. I think we’ll get lazy with this short short commute, but it is convenient having the church so close by. We met up with Amy, Kyle, and Lorne for the service, and were personally welcomed by a dozen if not more of the people during the greeting. Although just a bit larger, it reminded me so much of our amazing church back home [miss you, New Harmony!], so hopefully we’ll have the same great experience here that we had in Cincinnati.

After church, the guys had to go work for the afternoon at the base, so Sydni and I took to some more cleaning and straightening, and some last-item shopping. Joe called just as we were finishing up, so we met him at the Kobularcik’s [Bonnie & Andrew] on base for cornhole, yet again, and some good old relaxation. Their oldest little boy Landon, Tessa, and Sydni had some tiring play while the mama’s relaxed and the fellas took to cornhole until it was too dark to see.

Joe’s off this entire upcoming week: the weather building is undergoing some remodeling, and Wednesday he gets his last two wisdom teeth removed. Praying that goes well.

Not too bad for my first full weekend here!
